Yes. Google map search, "Channels Fire tower, Abington, VA. The fractured rock formation to the northeast of the 1939 tower is a play ground. To get there you have to find the parking lot, ( the Google map label is Brumley Mountain Trail Trailhead ). Start early, 3 miles, and a 1,200 foot accent, you then get to the split left, to go up to the tower. Follow the black arrows on white diamond to keep on trail. It splits to the left, early to go away from road to Ravin Ridge Lodge.

Great views and a pretty challenging hike. Definitely worth it however.

Interesting walk to a jumble of limestone rock formations. The formations form a set of slot like canyons.
